Online Erotica
So are there any fans of online erotic stories out there?
I've always been easily aroused by erotic stories, often even more so than by visual porn. So, it's not surprising that I've been a fan of things like the Penthouse Forum since I was young. As the Internet became more prevalent, it was even easier to find such stories first in newsgroups, like alt.sex.stories, and later webpages, like Alt Sex Stories Text Repository or StoriesOnline.
For years and years it was always stroke stories. You know, little to no plot or character development and lot's of sex scenes. Pretty much porn movies translated into text. Over the last year or two, though, I've discovered something even more interesting - the world of online erotica. These are real honest to goodness stories with more than vestigial plots and believable characters that you can grow attached to.
There are authors out there who are writing professional quality books with more graphic sex scenes than you'll find in mainstream novels and then just giving them away online. People like Frank Downey, Nick Scipio and Al Steiner are amazing writers who are better than many published writers I've read and they just give their work away. Isn't the internet great?
If you are at all interested in reading and don't mind a bit of sex in your stories than you should give these guys a try. Frank Downey writes mostly sappy romances with happy endings. His characters are so real you'll wish they were alive and friends of yours. Nick Scipio has written a number of things, but is primarily known for his epic Summer Camp series, which is the coming of age story of a young nudist, swinger, and polyamorist growing up in the early eighties. Al Steiner's stuff ranges all over the place from post-apocalypse survival to sci-fi settlement of the solar system to time-travel if you had your life to live over again to kindergarten teacher waiting for Mr. Right stories. There are many others, but these are the best of the ones I've found so far.
So, is anybody else into online erotica? Got any recommendations?

I've been a fan of Kasey for a very long time. Her wonderful writing helped to inspire me to start my own blog last year.
